Idaho State has lost its last three games to fall to 2-8 overall. The Bengals are fresh off a 67-57 setback to Utah State on Saturday, and they carry an 0-5 road record into today's clash.

Arizona State carries a five-game win streak into this matchup, and the most recent victory for the squad occurred on Saturday by a 76-75 final over BYU. That thrilling triumph improved the Sun Devils to 9-1 overall, and they are a perfect 4-0 at home. The lone loss to date came against a Baylor squad that has since cracked the top-25.

Arizona State owns a 2-1 lead in the all-time series with Idaho State.

Idaho State has struggled a bit at the offensive end of the floor this season, scoring only 65.1 ppg while shooting 41.8 percent from the floor. The Bengals are allowing 72.5 ppg to the opposition, so there is some room for improvement defensively. Amorrow Morgan leads Idaho State with 13.6 ppg, and Matt Stucki is providing 11.3 ppg. As for Demetrius Monroe, he is scoring 10.3 ppg on 59.7 percent shooting from the field, and Monroe also leads the club with 8.5 rpg. In the loss to Utah State on Saturday, none of the five starters reached double figures in scoring for Idaho State. Lucas Steijn had 15 points off the bench for the Bengals, who connected on only 37.7 percent of their field goal attempts, including a 3-of-13 effort from behind the arc.

There is absolutely no doubt who is the top option at the offensive end for Arizona State, as explosive guard James Harden is one of the nation's most gifted scorers. Through 10 games, Harden is netting 24.3 ppg on 57.5 percent shooting from the field, and he is pulling down 6.8 rpg to go along with 41 assists and 18 steals. While the league season has yet to begin, Harden has to be considered the favorite to win Pac-10 Player of the Year honors in 2008-09. Jeff Pendergraph adds 12.8 ppg and 7.3 rpg for ASU, which is getting 10.6 ppg from Ty Abbott and 10.3 ppg from Rihards Kuksiks. The Sun Devils are generating 73.0 ppg while limiting foes to 59.4 ppg on 38.8 percent shooting efficiency. Harden poured in 30 points in the victory over BYU, and he finished with six rebounds, six assists and five steals as well. Pendergraph pitched in 22 points for ASU in the narrow triumph.
