(Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Golden State hopes to wrap up a six-game homestand in
winning fashion tonight when it plays host to a Utah Jazz team aiming to
bounce back from a tough loss.
After losing the first two games of their current residency, the Warriors have
bounced back a little to win two of the three with the latest triumph coming
on Tuesday when Brandon Rush poured in 20 points off the bench, including 15
in the fourth quarter, as Golden State held off Sacramento late for a 93-90
victory.
David Lee and Dorell Wright each had 15 points, and Nate Robinson chipped in
11 as the Warriors improved to 5-7 at home on the season.
"This is a process," said Golden State head coach Mark Jackson. "We talked
about second shot opportunities, giving them up, and we talked about taking
care of the basketball, and we also talked about getting back in transition
defensively and my guys did a great job of taking care of the basketball."
The Jazz, meanwhile suffered a rare loss to the Clippers in Salt Lake City on
Wednesday. Los Angeles had lost 15 straight and 42 of 43 against the Jazz in
the Beehive State, but got a season- high 34 points and 11 assists from Chris
Paul to earn a 107-105 victory in a game which featured 12 ties and 14 lead
changes.
Al Jefferson, a game-time decision due to an ankle injury, had a team-high 27
points and 12 boards for the Jazz, who saw their two-game win streak come to
an end. C.J. Miles scored 16 and Paul Millsap finished with 14.
"For the most part we fought hard...the guys hung in there to give us a chance
to win," Jazz head coach Tyrone Corbin said.
Utah has been solid as usual at EnergySolutions Arena with a 10-4 mark but
will now be starting a stretch in which it plays 14 of 20 away from home.
On the injury front for the Jazz, backup point guard Earl Watson is doubtful
after suffering a sprained left ankle against the Clips, while defensive-
minded shooting guard Raja Bell remains questionable with a strained right
adductor.
Utah snapped a two-game skid to the Warriors with an 88-87 win in Oakland
